The Nebraska School Activities Association has announced that the 2026 state baseball tournament will run from May 15 through May 22, with the championship games slated for May 22 at Werner Park in Omaha. The event will feature the top teams from Class A, B and C, each playing a series of quarterfinal matchups before advancing to the finals.
Lincoln East enters the tournament as the No. 2 seed in the Class A bracket, positioning the team among the favorites but behind the top seed. The quarterfinal slate for Class A includes a clash between Millard South and Omaha Westside, a matchup that pits two of the state’s traditional powerhouses against each other, while Grand Island will meet Lincoln East in a highly anticipated contest.
The bracket also features Creighton Prep taking on Millard North, and Papillion LaVista South facing Lincoln Southwest. In Class B, Lincoln Pius X will square off against Skutt Catholic, while Seward meets Elkhorn North, Gross Catholic meets Gretna East, and Lincoln Standing Bear confronts Platte Valley. Class C quarterfinal action will see St. Paul/Palmer battle Central City/Centura, Mt. Michael Benedictine face GACC‑WPB, Arlington play Auburn, and Lincoln Lutheran meet Roncalli Catholic.
All games will be staged across Omaha’s baseball venues, with Werner Park serving as the centerpiece for the championship round. The tournament’s schedule was released by the Nebraska School Activities Association, which will oversee officiating, scheduling and award presentations throughout the week.
