The University of Washington's men's soccer program has unveiled its 2026 slate, a schedule that blends early‑season exhibitions with a rigorous conference campaign.
Early exhibitions set the tone
The Huskies open with two preseason matches, first against Western Washington on August 13 and then versus British Columbia at Husky Soccer Stadium on August 16. Both games will be played on the familiar turf of Montlake, giving the coaching staff a chance to fine‑tune tactics before the regular season begins.
The regular season debut comes on August 20, when Washington hosts San Diego in a home opener that marks the start of a seesaw of home and away fixtures for the first four contests.
September brings a busy home stretch
A three‑game home stand begins on September 3 against Cal State Fullerton, followed by a clash with UC Davis on September 5. The team then steps into Big Ten play with a road trip to Penn State on September 11, before returning to Seattle for a four‑game home stretch that features Rutgers, Wisconsin, Northwestern and Seattle University.
Mid‑season road trips will take the Huskies to Indiana and Ohio State, and later in October they will travel to face Michigan schools on the road, culminating in a rematch with Maryland at Montlake on October 30, a nod to the 2025 NCAA quarterfinal encounter.
Late‑season showdown and postseason outlook
The regular season wraps up on November 4 in Los Angeles, where Washington will meet UCLA in a final test before the Big Ten Tournament kicks off in November. The NCAA Tournament follows on November 19, giving the Huskies a chance to extend their campaign on the national stage.
Across the schedule, the team will navigate a blend of non‑conference opponents and Big Ten rivals, with a mix of home and away fixtures designed to test depth and resilience. The full slate reflects a strategic approach that balances competitive challenges with opportunities for player development.
