Seton Hall Baseball Players Earn Academic All‑District Honors

The College Sports Communicators have released its latest Academic All‑District team, spotlighting a trio of Seton Hall University baseball standouts who have distinguished themselves through a blend of athletic prowess and scholarly achievement.

Gabe Cavazzoni, Stephen Curry and Ryan Reich each met the rigorous eligibility standards, which require at least sophomore standing and a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, while also delivering impactful contributions on the field.

Cavazzoni, a Finance and Information Technology Management major, posted a team‑leading 27 runs batted in and seven triples while maintaining a 3.528 GPA, underscoring his dual commitment to performance and academics.

Curry, whose major is Graphic Design and Advertising Art, compiled a 4.55 earned run average across 21 appearances covering 31.2 innings, and graduated with a 3.835 GPA, a testament to his resilience in the bullpen.

Ryan Reich, a Finance graduate with a 3.688 cumulative GPA, appeared in 21 games and logged 32.1 innings, striking out 36 batters and reaching the 200‑career strikeout milestone on April 18 against Xavier.

Their recognitions reflect the program’s emphasis on developing well‑rounded student‑athletes, a narrative that aligns with the mission of both Seton Hall University and the College Sports Communicators organization.
