NIU Men’s Golf Team Sets Record with Six Academic All-MAC Honorees

The Huskies top the Mid-American Conference in academic honors, tying the program record for selections.

A Record-Breaking Academic Milestone

Northern Illinois University’s men’s golf program has reason to celebrate, as six of its student‑athletes were selected to the 2026 Academic All‑MAC Team, matching the highest number of honorees the school has ever placed on the list.

The selections underscore the Huskies’ dominance in the conference, where they outpaced all other schools for the number of players recognized, and the group includes both repeat honorees and first‑time recipients who have posted strong performances and maintained a minimum 3.20 GPA.

Among the honorees, Craig Long earned his second Academic All‑MAC nod and also joined the CSC Academic All‑District At‑Large Team, while Conner McCall paced the squad with a 73.091 scoring average. Patrick Raupp was the top finisher at the MAC Championship, tying for fifth, and Devin Swoyer captured two top‑10 finishes and was named MAC Golfer of the Week.
