The University of Minnesota has unveiled its 2026‑27 men’s ice hockey schedule, a slate that blends storied rivalries with a heavy load of Big Ten competition.
The season opens with road contests against Michigan Tech and Minnesota Duluth before the Gophers settle into a nine‑game homestand that begins with a series versus North Dakota.
Among the marquee matchups are meetings with Penn State, Wisconsin and a home‑and‑home series against Minnesota State, while the team will also travel to face Notre Dame, Michigan State and Ohio State on multiple occasions throughout the year.
A historic slate awaits
The regular season will wrap up with a road series at Michigan, after which the Gophers will head into the Big Ten Tournament and subsequent NCAA Regional play. Season tickets are currently on sale, with single‑game tickets to follow. Coach Brett Larson said the schedule reflects the program’s ambition to compete at the highest level.
