Semetri Carr Returns to Cal Basketball
Semetri Carr is back with the California Golden Bears after a brief exploration of the transfer portal this spring, a move that introduced a cloud of uncertainty around his future with the program.
In his rookie season with Cal, Carr posted modest numbers — 3.8 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game — but his experience and playmaking ability have positioned him as a contender for the starting point guard role.
Coach Michael Warren and the coaching staff have said that Carr will battle for the starting spot alongside Jordan Ross, Michael Cooper and Jovani Ruff, all of whom are also vying for minutes at the position.
