Minnesota United FC Joins Forces with Liberia’s National Team for Free Youth Soccer Clinic in Brooklyn Park

Community clinic celebrates Liberian heritage, the FIFA World Cup and an upcoming friendly ahead of Independence Day

Minnesota United FC is set to host a free youth soccer clinic in Brooklyn Park on June 22, inviting boys and girls between the ages of six and sixteen to take the field at Zane Sports Park.

A Celebration of Sport and Heritage

The clinic is being run in partnership with the Liberia national soccer team and the local nonprofit SARX, blending coaching expertise from both sides to give youngsters a unique experience.

Scheduled to coincide with the ongoing FIFA World Cup, the event also serves as a prelude to a friendly match between Minnesota United FC and Liberia’s senior side on July 26, Liberia’s Independence Day, further cementing the transatlantic connection.

Brooklyn Park boasts a Liberian community of more than 7,000 residents, making the clinic a natural fit for a city where soccer acts as a cultural bridge.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own soccer balls, water bottles and shin guards, ensuring they can focus on skill development and fun.
