Boston College Unveils 2026‑27 Men’s Hockey Schedule with Boston University Showdowns

The slate features a four‑game series, Beanpot participation and a road trip that sets up a busy stretch before the Hockey East and NCAA tournaments.

Boston College’s men’s ice hockey program has released its full slate for the 2026‑27 season, a schedule that weaves together a heated rivalry with Boston University, a return to the Beanpot, and a series of road and home‑and‑home matchups against other Hockey East foes.

A Rivalry Renewed

The first of four meetings with Boston University is set for Jan. 29, 2027 at Conte Forum, kicking off a series that will continue on Feb. 1 at the TD Garden for the opening round of the 74th Beanpot tournament.

The two‑game home‑and‑home series will conclude on Feb. 26 and Feb. 27, with the second game returning to the TD Garden, giving fans a chance to see the rivalry swing back and forth across the city.

Last season the two clubs split their four‑game series, each winning two contests. Boston College opened the year with two victories, including the Beanpot Championship, before Boston University turned the tables with a home‑and‑home sweep on Feb. 27‑28.

Beyond the Boston rivalry, the Eagles will test themselves against a varied slate of opponents. A road series at Denver is slated for Oct. 23‑24, while home‑and‑home matchups against UMass (Nov. 13‑14) and New Hampshire (Jan. 22‑23) will provide additional challenges. A standalone home game against UMass is also scheduled for March 5.

Postseason Pathways

The Hockey East Tournament runs from March 10‑20 at the TD Garden, after which the team will head to the NCAA Regionals from March 25‑28, with potential travel to multiple sites. The ultimate prize, the Frozen Four, awaits on April 8‑10 at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.

While the complete schedule will be announced later, the announced games already outline a season that blends intense rivalry, strategic road trips, and a clear path toward national competition.
