Kansas State’s football program has taken a decisive step toward reshaping its 2027 recruiting class, landing two of Florida’s most coveted prospects in the same week.
Florida’s Rising Stars Choose Manhattan
Brooklyn Maxey, the No. 72 recruit in Florida and a top‑100 national prospect, announced his commitment to the Wildcats on Tuesday, citing the coaching staff’s vision and the program’s upward trajectory.
Joseph Graves, ranked as the 82nd‑best defensive tackle in the 2027 class and the 73rd overall player in Florida, followed suit after a high‑profile recruitment that saw him weigh offers from nearly two dozen Power‑Four schools before selecting Manhattan.
Both athletes bring distinct strengths to the fold; Maxey’s agility and route‑running versatility complement Graves’s interior disruption and pass‑rushing instincts, giving the defensive line a dynamic new core.
The Wildcats also welcomed Ashton Stark, a 6‑foot‑2 wide receiver from Louisiana who logged 806 receiving yards and 15 total touchdowns as a junior, adding depth to the receiving corps.
Stark’s decision came after a recruitment that included interest from Auburn, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Texas Tech, Houston, Cincinnati and Wake Forest, underscoring the national appeal of K‑State’s program.
The combined commitments have propelled the 2027 class to a No. 30 national ranking in the Rivals industry consensus and a No. 25 spot in the 247Sports composite, while also securing the Wildcats the second‑best position within the Big 12.
Coaching staff members emphasized that the new signees reflect a strategic focus on cultivating talent from fertile recruiting grounds, a plan that promises to sustain competitive depth for years to come.
