Michigan State Announces 2026‑27 Big Ten Hockey Schedule
The Michigan State Spartans have released their 2026‑27 Big Ten hockey schedule, setting up a demanding opening stretch that could shape the team’s pursuit of a fourth consecutive regular‑season championship and a first Frozen Four appearance since 2008.
Coach Adam Nightingale will guide the squad through a slate that opens with a home‑and‑home series against archrival Michigan, beginning in November at Yost Ice Arena in Ann Arbor.
The second meeting with the Wolverines arrives in February at Munn Ice Arena in East Lansing, giving the Spartans a chance to flip the script on last season’s results.
Mid‑November also marks the conference debut against Notre Dame, a team that will finish the Big Ten slate as the second‑to‑last opponent, adding an early test for the Spartans.
Ohio State, which stunned Michigan State in the previous year’s Big Ten Tournament, returns as the final conference opponent, traveling to East Lansing for the regular‑season finale.
The remainder of the schedule features matchups with Minnesota, Wisconsin and Penn State spread across January and February, while the Spartans will enjoy three home games in the final four weeks, offering a favorable finish.
