Northern California seniors will clash at Foothill High in a showcase of skill and sportsmanship

A Return to the Field: The 2026 Lions Club All-Star Games

The annual Lions Club All-Star football games are set to make their comeback on June 20, 2026, at Foothill High School in Palo Cedro, bringing together graduating seniors from across Northern California for a day of competition and camaraderie.

For the first time, the North team has trained at Simpson University in Redding, using the campus facilities to hone their skills ahead of the showcase.

Foothill High School coach Ross Griffith, who is serving as head coach of the North large-school team for the second straight year, praised both the athletic talent and the personal character of the players, noting that the event extends beyond the gridiron.

Red Bluff High School quarterback Ashden Wehbey will lead the North offense, describing the unique opportunity to join forces with former rivals, including Lassen High School linebacker Tyson Wurzer, whom he once faced as an opponent.

The games will feature a small-schools matchup at 5 p.m., followed by the large-schools contest at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are priced at $15, with free admission for children five years old and younger.

Beyond the on-field action, the event underscores the Lions Club’s commitment to youth development and community engagement, offering a platform for local fans to celebrate the next generation of athletes.
