Scott Livingstone, a former Texas A&M infielder, has been selected for the College Baseball Hall of Fame Class of 2026, cementing his place among the sport’s most storied alumni.
A Record‑Setting College Career
During his tenure at Texas A&M, Livingstone compiled a .342 career batting average across 241 games, amassing 301 hits, 217 runs scored, 75 doubles, 50 home runs and 228 RBI. His offensive output placed him among the program’s all‑time leaders and remains one of the most decorated careers in Aggie baseball history.
International Recognition
Livingstone’s talent earned him a silver medal with the USA Baseball National Team at the 1987 Pan American Games, adding a national honor to his collegiate résumé.
Professional Journey
The Detroit Tigers drafted him in the second round of the 1988 MLB draft, and he went on to play eight seasons in the majors for the Tigers, Padres, Cardinals and Expos. In the big leagues he posted a .281 batting average with 431 hits, 163 runs scored and 177 RBI.
Hall of Fame Class of 2026
The 19th induction class of the College Baseball Hall of Fame will be honored in February 2027 in Overland Park, Kansas. The ceremony will celebrate Livingstone alongside other elite figures, highlighting his lasting impact on the game.
