Bound Wisconsin has released its preseason football rankings for Division 2, setting the stage for a competitive season across the state and drawing attention from coaches, players, and fans alike.
Notre Dame tops the preseason poll
The Fighting Irish enter the rankings as the clear favorite, buoyed by the return of record‑breaking running back Kingston Allen, who will once again anchor the offense and look to extend his historic rushing numbers.
Coach Jim Norris has assembled a balanced roster that blends Allen’s explosiveness with a revamped defensive front, giving the team a strong chance to contend for the title and maintain its recent dominance.
Other contenders eyeing the top spot
Grafton’s Black Hawks, fresh from a successful campaign, have been elevated to Division 2 and are poised to build on that momentum, while Homestead’s Highlanders, fresh league champions, aim to translate that success into a deeper playoff run.
Monona Grove’s Silver Eagles are also expected to improve, returning several key starters, and teams such as Kaukauna, New Richmond, and Rice Lake are each targeting specific conference milestones.
Meanwhile, programs like Germantown, Pulaski, and Union Grove are focusing on shoring up offensive lines and replacing departed stars, hoping to break into higher rankings as the season unfolds.
