Clemson Baseball Rebuilds with Transfer Additions Ahead of 2027 Season

After a 31‑26 record and a 10‑20 ACC finish, the Tigers turn to the portal to reshape the roster.

Clemson’s baseball team wrapped up the 2026 season with a 31‑26 overall record and a 10‑20 mark in the Atlantic Coast Conference, a result that left head coach Erik Bakich eager to make adjustments before the next year.

Bakich and his staff have turned their attention to the transfer portal, a marketplace that promises immediate impact and depth for a program that finished outside the top tier of the ACC.

The Tigers have already secured six commitments, among them catcher/outfielder Bennett Edwards, shortstop Isaac Incinelli, pitchers Landon White and Jackson Miller, third baseman Troy Sudbrook, and center fielder Jamie Daly.

Edwards arrived on campus having posted a .287 average as a freshman, adding three home runs and 16 RBIs, while Incinelli’s .366 batting line paired with 70 hits, 45 RBIs and nine homers earned him conference Defensive Player of the Year honors.

White brings a 3.28 earned‑run average and eight saves from his four‑year stint with the Bryant Bulldogs, and Miller contributed 48 strikeouts in 44.2 innings last season.

Sudbrook, a veteran with 185 collegiate hits, 139 RBIs and 21 home runs, adds experience at the hot corner, and Daly has combined a .323 average over the past two seasons with 19 homers, 17 stolen bases and a 1.010 OPS.

Looking Ahead

If the early performances are any indication, Clemson’s 2027 squad could be poised to climb the conference standings and contend for a regional berth.
