Darren Harris, a top‑40 recruit in the 2024 class, has moved from Duke to Indiana University after two seasons with the Blue Devils.
A New Chapter at Indiana
At Duke, Harris averaged just 2.8 points over 8.3 minutes per game, never starting and often limited to under 22 minutes because of the program’s deep talent pool.
Fast‑Paced, High‑Volume Offense
Indiana’s coaching staff is known for emphasizing a rapid tempo and a heavy reliance on three‑point shooting, a system that should give Harris ample perimeter opportunities.
Versatility Beyond the Arc
Beyond his shooting, Harris wants to showcase his decision‑making, defensive intensity and ability to create shots for teammates, positioning himself as more than a pure spot‑up shooter.
Aiming for a Bigger Role
Coaches at Indiana have expressed confidence in Harris, believing his skill set aligns with their vision and that he can become a key contributor in the upcoming season.
High‑Volume Three‑Point Strategy
Last season Indiana attempted 50.5% of its shots from beyond the arc, ranking 14th nationally, and the new roster will continue to prioritize that approach, giving Harris plenty of space to operate.
The move also places Harris alongside other highly touted prospects such as Cooper Flagg, Kon Knueppel, Khaman Maluach, Isaiah Evans, Pat Ngongba, Lamar Wilkerson, Tucker DeVries, Aiden Sherrell, Samet Yigitoglu, Darian DeVries and Kenny Johnson, who are all expected to contribute to the Hoosiers’ depth.
