Cheboygan Seniors Earn All‑State Soccer Honors

Honorable mentions highlight a breakout season that ended with a conference third‑place finish and a district title, while Davis looks ahead to college soccer.

Two senior girls soccer players from Cheboygan have been selected to the Michigan Interscholastic High School Soccer Coaches Association Division 3 all‑state team as honorable‑mention honorees.

Their performances helped the Cheboygan Chiefs secure a third‑place finish in the Northern Shores Conference and an opening‑round district triumph over Grayling.

Morgan Davis capped her high school career with a hat trick in a victory over Kalkaska, earned first‑team all‑Northern Shores Conference, all‑region and all‑district accolades, and was named the team’s best offensive player.

Jaelyn Wheelock contributed two goals in the district match against Grayling, made the NSC second team and all‑region squad, and was recognized as the Chiefs’ most valuable player at the season‑ending banquet.

A season of milestones

The duo will continue their soccer journeys at the next level, with Davis committing to Alpena Community College for the upcoming season, while Wheelock’s leadership legacy endures in the program’s record books.
