The Deseret News has released its 2026 2A All-State boys soccer team, a roster selected by coaches to recognize the season’s standout performers across Utah’s second-division programs.

Kale Garner of Maeser Prep earned the distinction of Player of the Year after a season that combined leadership with consistent offensive output, while teammate Noah Johnson was named Playoff MVP following a clutch performance in the championship match.

Offensive numbers tell a vivid story: Hunter Marshall from Waterford topped the scoring charts with 32 goals and added seven assists, while Connor Stevens of Millard contributed 27 goals and four helpers, and Alex Hernandez of St. Joseph tallied 30 goals and a league-leading 15 assists.

Defensive excellence was also celebrated, with Eli Squire of ICS posting ten goals and two assists while anchoring the back line as a center back, and Jackson Black of American Heritage proving his versatility at defender while chipping in twelve goals and six assists.

Between the posts, Edrick Salas of Gunnison Valley recorded nine shutouts and Bryant Street of South Sevier made 106 saves, underscoring the depth of talent between the goalkeepers.

Additional recognitions included Noa Fukushima of Rowland Hall, a three-year starter and team captain, and several second-team selections such as Everton Hughes, Denzel Sono-Koree, David Jimenez and Lennox Mechelke, each of whom contributed notable statistics.
