The 2026 4A All‑State boys soccer team, selected by a vote of coaches across the state, celebrates the season’s most impactful players.
Player of the Year
Murray’s Carlos Nieto‑Rosales was crowned 4A Player of the Year after a season that saw him net 26 goals and add 16 assists, a combination that left opponents scrambling.
Playoff MVP
East’s Alejandro Preciado Jaramillo earned the Playoff MVP honor, his contributions helping his squad capture the state title.
The first team showcases a diverse array of talent, from forwards who dominate the scoreboard to midfielders who control the tempo and defenders who anchor the backline.
Forwards such as Teo Hummasti of East, Boone Heaton from Desert Hills, Miguel Gustavo and Ben Kotter of Ridgeline each posted double‑digit goals, with Gustavo and Kotter reaching 20 goals apiece.
Midfielders including Michael Martinez of Murray, Christopher Terraza from Dixie, Cannon Clark and Stockton Ashcroft of Green Canyon, and Axel Lopez of Murray combined for a wealth of assists, highlighting the region’s playmaking depth.
Defensive standouts like Axel Lopez, Charlie Spencer of East, Joe Cooley from East, and Dawson Ellett of Dixie provided both stability and occasional offensive bursts, with Clark leading all defenders with 30 goals.
In goal, Adi Helac of East and Crosby West of Ridgeline posted ten shutouts each, while West allowed just 12 goals all season, underscoring his reliability between the posts.
Second Team and Honorable Mentions
The second team features additional standouts such as Todd Simister of Desert Hills, Liam Lund from Snow Canyon, Mavrik Chlarson of Tooele, and Portman Busk from Crimson Cliffs, each earning recognition for their seasonal performances.
Midfielders Lewis Peterson of Timpanogos, Angel Mendoza and Alejandro Preciado Jaramillo of East, and Kaden Parrish from Crimson Cliffs add further depth, while defenders Anthony Guerra, Colton DeMann and Zack Wisan of Murray, Isaac Olsen of Ridgeline, and Brygunn Soderquist of Dixie round out the honors.
Goalie recognitions go to Brygunn Soderquist of Dixie and Spencer Shuman of Provo, both of whom contributed crucial saves during key matches.
Coaches say the breadth of talent across the state signals a bright future for high school soccer, with many of these players expected to continue their careers at the collegiate level.
