St. Xavier and Badin captured the imagination of fans by securing their first state championships in years, while five additional squads earned berths in the prestigious state tournament.
State Honors Reflect Deep Talent Pool
Individual accolades poured in as the Cincinnati Enquirer named co‑players of the year, highlighting hitters who combined batting prowess with RBI production.
Conner Cuozzo of Moeller and Wil Kraus of Oak Hills were celebrated for their offensive contributions, posting averages of .392 and .448 respectively while driving in 105 and an impressive number of runs.
On the mound, Jack Ryan led St. Xavier to the Division I championship with an 8‑2 record and a 1.54 ERA, while Ryan Murphy of Oak Hills and Nathan McDowell of Moeller posted sub‑1.20 ERAs and tallied over one hundred strikeouts each.
