The inaugural Navy 250 NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series race will take place on June 19 at Naval Base Coronado, marking the first time a national NASCAR series event is staged on an active military installation. Honoring Service Before the Engines Roar
Rear Admiral Rich Jarrett will serve as Grand Marshal, commanding the drivers to start their engines, while retired U.S. Navy SEAL Officer Jocko Willink is slated to act as Honorary Race Official. The ceremony will also feature Mayor John Duncan of Coronado waving the green flag as Honorary Starter, and Machinist’s Mate Third Class Tyler Henderson riding in the pace car as Honorary Pace Car Rider.
The pre‑race program includes a Color Guard presentation by Amphibious Construction Battalion ONE, an invocation delivered by Lieutenant Commander Brad Guillory, and a national anthem performance by Musician Second Class Ashley Pollock. A spectacular flyover by Fleet Logistics Multi‑Mission Squadron Fifty’s Osprey aircraft will officially kick off the festivities.
