A Season of Excellence
The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) has revealed its 2026 baseball awards, spotlighting a standout performance by Saint Joseph's College. The school brought home a suite of honors, including multiple player recognitions, coaching accolades, and a fourth straight Institutional Sportsmanship Award.
Nic Frink was celebrated as the conference’s Co‑Player of the Year and earned a spot on the First Team All‑Conference. He topped the league in home runs, runs batted in and total bases, and shared the league’s premier individual award with Mitchell College junior Michael Ficocelli.
Co‑Head Coaches Will Sanborn and Lincoln Sanborn were also recognized, receiving Coaches of the Year honors for guiding the team to a remarkable campaign.
Pitcher Dylan Brander added a Second Team All‑Conference nod after leading the conference in innings pitched, wins, starts and opponents’ at‑bats, underscoring his durability on the mound.
Padraig Mac Seain and Nick Brindle rounded out the accolades with Third Team All‑Conference selections, while the team captured the GNAC Institutional Sportsmanship Award for the fourth consecutive year.
Saint Joseph's secured the No. 3 seed for the GNAC Tournament and advanced to the championship series, a testament to the program’s consistent competitiveness.
