The Altoona Mirror has unveiled its 2026 First‑Team Baseball All‑Stars, recognizing the elite talent from across the region.
Standout Hitters
Among the position players, Mason Campagna of Claysburg‑Kimmel shines as a two‑time first‑team selection who will continue his career at Penn State, while Gavin Treon from the same school batted .487 with 14 doubles, four homers and 39 RBIs. J.D. Brouse of Central Cambria posted a .400 average and struck out 37 batters on the mound, and Chase Plummer of Bellwood‑Antis hit .405 with 22 RBIs and four home runs. Mason Mierley from Hollidaysburg hit .480, scored 31 runs and drove in 30, and Josh Banks of Hollidaysburg posted a .534 average, 34 runs and 23 RBIs. Caden Gibbons of Penn Cambria contributed a .467 average and 14 RBIs, while Brayden Parsons of Tyrone was named the 2026 Curve Classic MVP after hitting .479.
Pitching Excellence
The pitching staff was equally impressive. Vince Boland of Hollidaysburg finished 9‑0 with a 0.76 ERA and 87 strikeouts, Eric McAllister of Altoona threw a complete‑game shutout and posted a 1.99 ERA, and Cole Hartman of Hollidaysburg went 7‑0 with a 1.60 ERA, earning the win in the PIAA quarterfinal. Mason Sparks from Central finished 3‑3 with a 2.46 ERA and two saves, while Brandon McClure of Tyrone went 5‑2 with a 2.13 ERA and five saves in 46 innings.
