Former Minneapolis North high school football standouts Omar Brown and Bobby Jamison‑Travis gave back to the city that raised them by organizing a free, all‑ages football camp last weekend.
Brown, who currently wears a Miami Dolphins jersey and made his NFL debut in Green Bay earlier this year, emphasized the joy of watching youngsters run routes and tackle drills on the field.
Jamison‑Travis, a sixth‑round pick of the New York Giants in the 2026 draft, added that seeing the next generation of players chase their own dreams is what drives him to stay involved in community programs.
The clinic was made possible through the support of TRIA GameFace, a brand that specializes in performance gear for athletes and provided equipment, logistics and on‑site staffing for the event.
A Shared Vision
Both athletes spoke about the importance of giving back to the neighborhoods that shaped them, noting that football can be a conduit for teamwork, discipline and personal growth.
Organizers said the initiative reflects a broader trend of professional athletes leveraging their platforms to invest in youth sports programs, especially in underserved areas where access to organized play is limited.
The event also highlighted the growing partnership between local schools and private sponsors, illustrating how public‑private collaborations can create lasting opportunities for young athletes.
