Summer Football Camps Emphasize Fundamentals and Team Identity
Scottsbluff High School is set to host two separate football camps this summer, each tailored to different age groups and aimed at instilling the Bearcat program’s offensive and defensive philosophies.
The first session, scheduled from May 26 through May 29, is reserved for incoming freshmen, while a second camp in early August will welcome students entering grades six through eight.
Both camps will cover offensive, defensive and special‑teams fundamentals, giving participants a comprehensive view of the expectations placed on Bearcat athletes.
Organizers stress that the programs are designed not only to sharpen skills but also to foster an understanding of team culture and accountability.
The freshman camp carries a fee of $35, which includes a commemorative t‑shirt, while the middle‑school camp is priced at $32 with a similar shirt provided.
Participants are asked to bring their own football cleats and a personal water bottle to stay hydrated during drills.
Coaches hope the camps will serve as a bridge between off‑season preparation and the upcoming school year, ensuring that young players enter the program with a clear grasp of its core principles.
