Texas A&M’s dynamic duo, Nico Partida and Jorian Wilson, have earned invitations to the 2026 USA Baseball Collegiate National Team Training Camp, a showcase that gathers the nation’s most promising non‑draft‑eligible college talent.
The camp, held in Cary, North Carolina, features a series of exhibition games and a Stars vs. Stripes format that pits the nation’s best prospects against one another. The final roster that emerges will travel to Taichung City, Taiwan, to compete in the World Collegiate Baseball Championship later this year.
Partida, a third‑base standout, has started 44 games this season and posted a .317/.415/.585 slash line, tallying 41 runs and 41 RBI. His consistency is underscored by 16 multi‑hit performances and 12 games with multiple RBI, while in SEC play he has driven in 19 runs on 20 hits, including seven home runs.
Wilson, meanwhile, has appeared in 38 games and compiled a .303/.373/.681 line with 12 home runs and six stolen bases. He has scored 33 times and knocked in 32 RBI, and in SEC competition he is batting .338 with 20 runs, 20 RBI, three doubles and seven homers.
Both freshmen share the team lead with 12 home runs apiece, a feat that makes them the most prolific power hitters among SEC freshmen this year. Their combined offensive output has helped Texas A&M maintain a competitive edge in a deep conference race.
Looking Ahead to International Play
The upcoming World Collegiate Baseball Championship in Taiwan will provide a global stage for Partida and Wilson to test their skills against international competition. Their participation not only elevates their personal profiles but also shines a spotlight on the Aggies’ developing program.
As the training camp progresses, the duo will have the opportunity to fine‑tune their mechanics, adapt to different pitching styles, and build chemistry with teammates from across the country. The experience is expected to influence their upcoming college season and could shape their trajectories toward professional baseball.
