Brandon Pritzl, a 2012 graduate of the University of Toledo, has been named the first general manager of the Toledo men's basketball program, a role that will place him at the helm of the Rockets' basketball operations and report directly to head coach Tod Kowalczyk.
A Homecoming for a Rising Leader
Pritzl's journey to this position reflects a deep-rooted connection to the university and a progressive career in college basketball. After earning his degree, he spent three years as director of basketball operations at Toledo from 2014 to 2017, followed by stints as an assistant coach at the University of Findlay and head coach at Defiance College, experiences that honed his strategic acumen and relationship‑building skills.
In his new capacity, Pritzl will oversee recruiting, player development, budgeting and overall program strategy, positioning him to shape the team's direction alongside Coach Kowalczyk.
