Senior forward Alexandra Rossi added two more goals in the second half, sealing a 4-0 final margin and extending the team’s unbeaten streak in title games.
Coach Daniel Makal, who returned to the sidelines after a brief hiatus, praised the squad’s resilience and highlighted the influence of earlier championship teams that had laid the foundation for this success.
First‑year head coach Megan Drews, a longtime assistant under Makal, guided Wauwatosa East to its first state appearance since 2017, a milestone that reflects the program’s steady growth.
The Lancers have now appeared in four state finals since 2017, winning each time and finishing with an 8‑0 record in championship matches, a testament to the consistency of the Brookfield Central soccer culture.
With the victory, the team not only added another trophy to its storied history but also reinforced the community’s belief in a pipeline that continually produces talent ready for the next level.
