Section II Baseball Honors: Second‑Team All‑Stars and Honorable Mentions
The Section II baseball committee has released its second‑team all‑star roster, recognizing the standout performances of high school players from a dozen schools across the league.
Schools such as Highland, Kingston, Red Hook, Rondout Valley, Saugerties and Wallkill each saw multiple athletes honored, underscoring the depth of talent in this year’s crop.
Among the honorees, Conner Elliott of Highland earned a second‑team nod as a catcher, while Logan Ellison was recognized at infielder and Hunter Tomlin received pitcher honors for the same team.
Kingston contributed several players to the list, with Jack Purvis and Max Freese both selected as pitchers and catchers respectively, and Wade Holsapple earning a second‑team spot at infielder.
Red Hook’s Camden Misasi and Rondout Valley’s Luke Johnson were also placed on the second‑team, along with Michael Gramoglia of Saugerties, who was honored as a catcher, and Graham Werwa, another Saugerties pitcher.
Wallkill’s Anthony Daley received a second‑team selection as an outfielder, rounding out the group of standout performers.
Honorable mentions were distributed among several programs, with Logan Howard, Nick Forzano and Anthony Forzano from Highland, Dylan McDermott from Kingston, and a trio of Red Hook players — Luca Friedman, Phillip Briehof and Joseph Virga — receiving recognition.
Additional honorable mentions went to Corey Pesce, Griffin DeCicco and Reid Myers from Saugerties, highlighting the breadth of talent beyond the second‑team awardees.
