University of Illinois Announces 2026 Baseball Promotions and Community Events

A season of themed games, youth outreach and veteran tributes at Illinois Field

The University of Illinois has unveiled its 2026 promotional schedule for baseball home games at Illinois Field, promising a year filled with themed events, community celebrations and fan‑focused giveaways.

One of the highlights is Youth Baseball Day on Sunday, April 19, when local eighth‑grade teams and younger players are invited to experience a day of games and activities on the field.

Later in the month, the 16th annual Bleacher Bum BBQ will take place on Friday, April 24, offering food, music and a chance for fans to mingle with players and alumni.

Honoring Service and Community

On Sunday, April 26, the university will host Honor and Serve Day, a tribute to student veterans and all of America’s military heroes, featuring ceremonies and special recognitions.

Throughout the season, Illinois Field will run a series of recurring promotions, including Bark in the Park, Turn Two Tuesday, FamILLy Day Friday, Kids Zone & Kids Run the Bases, Discounted Slushee Bats and Trading Card Giveaways, each designed to add excitement to the game‑day experience.

The patio outside the right‑field wall is now available for rent, giving fans the opportunity to secure a premium tailgate spot, while full‑service tailgate packages can be reserved through RevelXP.
