The Big Ten has released UCLA’s full slate of conference opponents for the 2026‑27 men’s basketball season, a schedule that pits the Bruins against a gauntlet of elite teams.
A Schedule Packed with Powerhouses
UCLA will play 20 conference games, split evenly between home and road, and the list includes six programs that sit in the top 25 of Bart Torvik’s T‑Rank, among them the national champion Michigan Wolverines.
The road portion opens with a trip to Champaign to meet Illinois, a Final Four team from last season, followed by a visit to Bloomington where the Hoosiers handed UCLA its only home loss last year.
Additional road stops include games at West Lafayette against Purdue, a team that split its two meetings with the Bruins last season, as well as matchups at Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota, all of which defeated UCLA on the road in the previous campaign.
At home, the Bruins will host USC, Oregon and Washington for a home‑and‑home series that marks the third straight year of that arrangement, while Maryland, Northwestern and Rutgers round out the road slate.
UCLA entered the previous season ranked No. 12 in the preseason AP poll, finished 24‑12 overall and 13‑7 in conference play, earned a 7‑seed in the NCAA Tournament and advanced to the second round before falling to UConn. According to Bart Torvik’s rankings, the Bruins are slated to be No. 20 heading into the new season.
With a demanding schedule that blends seasoned powerhouses and historic rivals, the Bruins are poised for a challenging yet exciting campaign that could reshape their national standing.
