Jenna Annecchiarico Joins Hofstra Women’s Basketball Staff

Former Charleston star and St. John's graduate assistant brings a record‑setting playing résumé to the university

Hofstra University has named Jenna Annecchiarico as its newest assistant coach for the women's basketball program, effective June 2026.

She arrives after two seasons as a graduate assistant at St. John's, where she helped shape the program's video analysis, recruiting strategies and player development initiatives.

A Stellar Playing Legacy

During her collegiate career at the College of Charleston, Annecchiarico emerged as one of the most prolific point guards in program history, amassing 1,004 points, 289 rebounds and 182 steals across 63 appearances.

She set school records for total assists (377) and single‑game assists (14) while earning three All‑CAAs, including a first‑team nod in 2024, and was invited to the Nancy Lieberman Award watch list as the nation's top point guard.

Her impact helped the Cougars capture 54 victories and a berth in the 2024 Women's National Invitation Tournament, underscoring her ability to contribute to winning cultures.

Before Charleston, she honed her skills at Eastern Michigan, where she recorded 734 points and 262 assists in 79 games, and earned a bachelor's degree in social sciences in 2024.

A native of Baldwin, New York, Annecchiarico brings a blend of analytical acumen, recruiting savvy and on‑court experience that Hofstra hopes will accelerate its ascent in the Colonial Athletic Association.

University officials expressed confidence that her leadership will complement the head coach and reinforce the program's commitment to competitive excellence.
