Hofstra University revealed this week that Jenna Annecchiarico will join the women's basketball coaching staff as an assistant for the upcoming 2026‑27 season. The announcement underscores the program's commitment to continuity and growth after a historic run to the championship game of the 2026 CAA Championship.
A strategic addition to the coaching roster
Annecchiarico brings a blend of playing pedigree and analytical expertise. During her collegiate career she set numerous records, including career assists, and earned three All‑CAA honors while being named to the Nancy Lieberman Award Watch List as the nation's top point guard. Her leadership on the court translated into a graduate assistantship at St. John's, where she contributed to video analysis, recruiting efforts, and player development.
Prior to her graduate work, Annecchiarico played for Charleston, where she helped the team capture a conference title, and later contributed at Eastern Michigan, amassing 734 points and 262 assists in 79 appearances. She holds a bachelor's degree in social sciences from Charleston and a master's in sports management from St. John's, graduating in 2026.
Her hiring comes as the program finalizes a coaching lineup that includes Amber Reeves, Maniya Custis, and Keila Whittington. Together, the staff aims to build on the momentum of last season's championship game appearance and to further elevate the team's competitive edge in the CAA.
