Tufts University announced the hiring of Clare Fitzpatrick as its new head coach for the women's basketball program, marking the tenth leadership change since the team's inaugural season in 1972.
Fitzpatrick arrives after a three‑year tenure as an assistant at the University of Massachusetts, where she helped orchestrate a turnaround that lifted the Minutewomen from five victories in the 2023‑24 campaign to more than twenty wins projected for 2025‑26. Her recruiting acumen and player‑development focus were on full display during her five‑year stint at Holy Cross, where she served as assistant and recruiting coordinator and contributed to the 2024 Patriot League championship.
