LSU Soccer Announces 2026 Schedule with Ambitious Road Tests

The Tigers, ranked No. 16 nationally, outline a demanding slate that includes home openers, non‑conference showdowns and a deep SEC run.

LSU Soccer has unveiled its 2026 schedule, a slate that blends nine home fixtures with a series of high‑profile road tests, aiming to ride the momentum of last season’s historic Sweet 16 run.

The Tigers entered the final 2025 standings ranked No. 16 nationally, having finished the year with a 15‑6‑4 record that earned nods from United Soccer Coaches and Top Drawer Soccer.

Head coach Sian Hudson said the schedule was designed to create a great atmosphere for fans while testing the team against a diverse set of opponents.

Season outlook

The season opens on August 12 with a road matchup at Wake Forest in Winston‑Salem, North Carolina, before the home opener on August 16 against Northwestern State.

Non‑conference play will also feature contests against UCF, Florida Gulf Coast, Arizona State and Arizona, providing a varied early‑season challenge.

SEC competition begins on September 11 with a home game against Tennessee, and the Tigers will host five conference opponents, including South Carolina, Arkansas and Mississippi State.

Road trips will take LSU to Oklahoma, Florida, Texas, Texas A&M and Missouri, each venue promising a hostile environment and a test of resilience.

The SEC Tournament is scheduled for November 8‑15 in Pensacola, Florida, and the year will close with the NCAA Women’s College Cup, held December 11‑14 at First Horizon Stadium in Cary, North Carolina.
