A Strategic Reinforcement for the Razorbacks
Arkansas has completed the construction of its women's basketball coaching staff for the upcoming 2026‑27 campaign, bringing aboard two seasoned professionals who are expected to elevate the program's competitiveness and culture.
Erin Horne, who spent the last three seasons as director of basketball operations at the University of Central Florida, will transition to the same role with the Razorbacks beginning June 29. Her career in operations began in 2016 as an intern with the WNBA's Atlanta Dream, and she later earned a master's degree in higher education leadership from Mercer University.
Prior to her tenure at UCF, Horne honed her skills at Lipscomb University, where she pursued graduate studies after completing her undergraduate years at Converse College in South Carolina. At Converse, she became the all‑time steals record holder for the Valkyries while earning four letters.
A Player‑Development Veteran Returns Home
Makyra Tramble, a standout performer at Southwestern Oklahoma State and Oral Roberts, will start her duties as director of player development on June 16. Tramble's collegiate accolades include being named the 2022 DII National Player of the Year, three‑time All‑American honors, and a reputation as one of the premier guards in the Gulf Atlantic Conference.
Her professional trajectory featured a senior season at Oklahoma State, where she appeared in ten games before a season‑ending injury, followed by a return to Oral Roberts as a graduate student. In the 2024‑25 season, she started all 33 games, averaged 10.6 points, 3.2 assists, 3.9 rebounds and led the Summit League with 2.0 steals per game.
Tramble expressed enthusiasm about rejoining her former coach, Kelsi Musick, and contributing to the Razorback program's growth. Musick, now in her second year at Arkansas, highlighted the complementary strengths that Horne and Tramble bring to the staff.
Both hires underscore Arkansas's commitment to assembling a cohesive, experienced unit that can support the team's ambitions on and off the court. The university looks forward to the impact these leaders will have as the program prepares for the upcoming season.
