2026 Schedule Overview
The University of Virginia’s women’s soccer program revealed its 2026 schedule on June 22, outlining a 17‑match season that blends non‑conference challenges with a full ACC slate.
Eleven of those contests will be played on the team’s home turf in Charlottesville, giving the Cavaliers a strong start as they open the campaign with a seven‑game home stretch against a mix of opponents from the Midwest to the East Coast.
The non‑conference slate features matchups with Northwestern, Liberty, La Salle, James Madison, Yale, Tennessee and Georgetown, setting the tone for a diverse early‑season test.
ACC Play and Tournament Path
Conference play will see the Cavaliers split their schedule evenly, with five home games against Miami, North Carolina, Syracuse, Clemson and Louisville and five away trips to Wake Forest, Notre Dame, SMU, Virginia Tech and Duke.
The ACC Championships will begin with quarterfinal matches hosted on campus sites on November 8, before moving to Cary, North Carolina for the semifinals and finals between November 12 and 15.
NCAA Tournament action kicks off the weekend of November 20, leading to the College Cup in Cary from December 10‑13, where Virginia hopes to extend its postseason run.
Exhibition and Preparation
Before the first official game, the team will meet Maryland and the Gainbridge Super League’s DC Power in exhibition matches, using the contests to fine‑tune tactics and chemistry.
With a blend of experienced returnees and promising newcomers, the Cavaliers are poised to translate the ambitious schedule into a competitive season that could see them back in the national conversation.
