The Bruins icon's legacy is cemented after a career defined by excellence on both ends of the ice

A Legendary Career

Patrice Bergeron, a cornerstone of the Boston Bruins for nearly two decades, has been selected for the Hockey Hall of Fame's 2026 class, cementing his place among the sport's all‑time greats.

Spanning 19 seasons from 2003‑04 to 2022‑23, Bergeron amassed 1,040 points, including 427 goals and 613 assists, while earning a record six Frank J. Selke Trophies for his defensive mastery and sportsmanship.

His consistency shone through 14 seasons with 20 or more goals and 15 playoff appearances, highlighted by a decisive two‑goal performance in Game 7 of the 2011 Stanley Cup Final against the Vancouver Canucks.

International Triumphs

Bergeron also represented Canada with distinction, capturing Olympic gold in 2010 and 2014 and a World Championship in 2004, and he remains one of only 30 members of the Triple Gold Club.

Next season the Bruins will retire his No. 37, adding his name to the TD Garden rafters alongside other franchise legends.
