A Milestone Class
The announcement that Carey Price will be part of the Hockey Hall of Fame’s Class of 2026 has reverberated through the sport, marking the culmination of a career that spanned a decade and a half with a single franchise.
Price spent his entire 15‑year NHL tenure with the Montreal Canadiens, appearing in 712 games and posting 361 victories, records that still stand for a Canadiens goaltender.
His peak came in the 2014‑15 season when he captured the Hart, Vezina and Ted Lindsay trophies, and also shared the William H. Jennings Trophy, underscoring his dominance between the pipes.
International play added further luster, as Price helped Canada to gold at the 2007 IIHF World Junior Championship and contributed to the country’s 2014 Olympic triumph.
The upcoming induction ceremony in November 2026 will see Price alongside Patrice Bergeron, Pekka Rinne, Keith Tkachuk, Cindy Curley and Brian Burke, a mix of players and builders that reflects the breadth of the sport’s history.
Beyond statistics, Price’s legacy is also defined by his resilience, a quality recognized when he received the Bill Masterton Trophy in 2022 for his dedication to the game.
