A celebration of New England’s hockey pioneers

The Hockey Hall of Fame announced that the induction ceremony will take place on November 9 in Toronto, where a select group of players and executives will be celebrated for their contributions to the game.

Patrice Bergeron, a longtime Boston Bruins center, expressed deep gratitude for the honor, noting that the accolade belongs as much to the coaches and teammates who supported him throughout his career.

The Boston Bruins will retire his No. 37 at TD Garden during the upcoming season, a tribute that reflects his lasting impact on the franchise.

Cindy Curley, a Stow, Massachusetts native, was recognized for her trailblazing role in women’s hockey, having guided Providence College to two NCAA championships and earning multiple medals with the U.S. women's national team.

Keith Tkachuk, who maintained strong ties to New England, and Brian Burke, a Providence native and former general manager of the Hartford Whalers, were also inducted, with Burke entering the builder category for his executive work.

The ceremony promises to bring together fans, players, and officials to honor a generation that helped shape modern hockey.
