University of Hawai'i women's basketball coach Khalilah Mitchell revealed this week that the program will welcome two new transfers for the upcoming 2026‑27 season, Zyriah Price and Liz Udeze, both slated to enter as juniors.
A Strategic Boost for the Program
Price, a 6‑foot forward from Huntsville, Alabama, arrives after two seasons at Siena, where she posted 4.7 points and 4.9 rebounds per game and shot 40.1 % from the field. She earned a reputation for athleticism and rebounding, highlighted by a career‑high 17‑point, 12‑rebound performance against Central Connecticut State.
Udeze, a 5‑foot‑6 guard from Victorville, California, comes from Mt. San Antonio College, where she averaged 13.2 points, 5.6 rebounds and 5.5 assists while shooting 50.8 % from the field. Her dynamic point‑guard skill set includes four 20‑point games, topping out at 27 points, and she was recognized on the 3C2A All‑State Tournament team.
Coach Mitchell praised the newcomers, noting that Price’s rebounding prowess and Udeze’s ability to “see the floor and score in the mid‑range” will add depth and versatility to the Rainbow Wahine’s lineup.
