Hall of Fame 2026: A New Chapter
The Hockey Hall of Fame has announced its 2026 class, honoring a blend of on‑ice pioneers and a visionary builder whose influence stretches across decades of professional hockey.
Brian Burke, formerly the President of Hockey Operations for the Pittsburgh Penguins, earned his induction as a builder. His career has spanned leadership roles with the Toronto Maple Leafs, Anaheim Mighty Ducks, Vancouver Canucks, Hartford Whalers and Calgary Flames, and he played a key part in the Ducks’ Stanley Cup triumph in 2007.
The class also includes Patrice Bergeron, Cindy Curley, Carey Price, Pekka Rinne and Keith Tkachuk, each of whom reshaped the game through dominant performances, steadfast leadership and community involvement.
The upcoming induction ceremony will spotlight not only individual excellence but also the collaborative spirit that has defined the sport’s evolution, reminding fans of the deep connections between players, executives and the broader hockey community.
