2026 Game Themes Celebrate Tradition and Community
Baylor Athletics has unveiled the thematic lineup for its 2026 football season, announcing six distinct game‑day experiences that each reflect a different facet of the university’s culture and community.
The September 12 contest against Prairie View A&M will be titled 254 Night, a celebration of the Waco area and its 254 telephone code, inviting local fans to join the festivities.
A week later, the September 19 matchup with Louisiana Tech will adopt the Gold Rush theme, highlighting Childhood Cancer Awareness initiatives and the university’s Vamos Osos celebrations.
On September 26, the game versus Colorado will be branded Traditions Game, honoring Baylor’s rich history and long‑standing customs that have shaped the campus identity.
The October 17 showdown with TCU will feature a Blackout on the Brazos/Whiteout, with fan attire determined by the kickoff time to create a unified visual display.
November 7 brings Homecoming against Iowa State, reinforcing the university’s cherished traditions and providing a focal point for alumni and students alike.
The November 21 contest with Texas Tech will be Salute to Service, a tribute to military personnel, veterans and first responders that underscores the university’s commitment to those who serve.
Baylor will also host a Fan Button Design Contest for select home games, with submissions due by July 10, offering supporters a chance to see their artwork on official game merchandise.
Ticket information for the 2026 season will be made available in July, and all season tickets will be distributed digitally, streamlining the purchase process for fans.
