Ed Kirk has been named the new boys basketball coach at Beaverton High School, taking over a program that consistently competes among the state’s elite.
Kirk arrives after eight years at Oregon Episcopal School, where his teams amassed 132 victories, reached the state tournament five times and captured a championship in 2020.
A Competitive Landscape
The Metro League, widely regarded as one of the toughest basketball conferences in Oregon, will test Kirk’s experience from the outset, but he welcomes the challenge.
Beyond the court, Kirk’s daughter already plays for Mountainside High School, giving him a personal connection to the local basketball community.
He has already spent the summer working with next year’s roster, building chemistry and setting the tone for what he hopes will be another successful season.
Kirk believes the Beaverton community and school environment provide a strong foundation for continued growth and achievement.
