Christian Pulisic has resumed training with the United States men’s national team after a calf injury that kept him out of the recent World Cup victory over Australia.
During a session in Orange County, the forward was seen going through warmups and ball drills, marking his first on‑field work since the injury. He had previously been limited to gym workouts, resistance training and light ball work, but the team did not issue a formal update on his status.
Pulisic’s comeback is notable because he had featured in the opening match of the tournament, playing the first half against Paraguay and directly contributing to two of the U.S. team’s three goals before halftime. His presence on the pitch provided a spark that helped the side secure a comfortable win.
TeamMate Alex Zendejas, who has been part of the squad throughout the recovery period, spoke about the collective support surrounding Pulisic, emphasizing that the group remains focused on maintaining momentum as the competition progresses.
Looking Ahead to Turkey and Beyond
The United States will face Turkey in their final group‑stage match at SoFi Stadium, a venue that will also host the knockout round scheduled for July 1 in Santa Clara, California. The timing of the knockout fixture adds a layer of urgency to the team’s preparations.
Midfielder Cristian Roldan, meanwhile, has been ruled out of practice with a strained muscle, further testing the depth of the squad as they navigate a packed schedule.
