Ball State’s baseball squad completed a sweep of Bowling Green in a doubleheader, posting 6-5 and 10-2 victories that locked the Cardinals into the No. 6 seed for the upcoming Mid-American Conference Tournament.
The first game saw the Cardinals erupt for four runs in the opening inning, highlighted by run‑scoring hits from Ryan Muizelaar and Brady Davidson and a two‑run homer from Jacob Gillis. Brayden Huebner added solo homers in the second and fourth frames, while John Chambers earned the win and Brady Strawmyer struck out five batters over 4.2 innings; Andrew Heffernan took the loss for the Falcons.
In the nightcap, Ball State exploded for ten unanswered runs. John Colligan sparked the rally with an RBI single, Maalik Perkins delivered a two‑run knock, and Preston Murphy drove in a run on a sacrifice fly. Jack Bakus followed with an RBI single, and Kendric Sorgius capped the onslaught with a grand slam.
