ShopRite Launches World Cup Soccer Events Across Northeast Stores

Free family activities and brand giveaways run through the tournament’s final match on July 19

Community soccer fun rolls into grocery aisles

Supermarket chain ShopRite is turning its parking lots into lively soccer arenas as part of a World Cup celebration that spans the Northeast. The retailer is inviting shoppers to step out of the aisles and into a series of free, family-friendly events that blend sport, play and community spirit.

From June 5 through July 19, 23 of its locations — including ten in New Jersey — will host the “We Kick it Here” tour. The program offers games, face painting and other activities that run in step with the global tournament, culminating in the final match scheduled for July 19.

The initiative also features partnerships with brands such as Chobani, Ferrero, General Mills and Kraft Heinz. Each of these companies will provide free samples and giveaways to shoppers who stop by the events, adding a tasty twist to the soccer-themed experience.

Local families are encouraged to bring their children, enjoy the games, and collect promotional items while the retailer leverages the excitement of the World Cup to strengthen community ties and create memorable experiences beyond ordinary grocery shopping.
