A Community Celebration of Talent
Every Tuesday through Monday, the Cape Cod and Islands High School Player of the Week poll opens its digital doors to fans across the region. Unlimited voting is permitted, but all ballots must be cast on the Cape Cod Times website or its mobile platforms, ensuring a streamlined and secure process. The excitement culminates on July 3, when the player who has captured the community’s imagination is announced as the week’s honoree.
Beyond the mechanics of the vote, the poll serves as a rallying point for towns from Falmouth to Martha’s Vineyard, uniting families, coaches, and classmates in a shared celebration of athletic excellence. It spotlights the raw talent emerging from local diamonds and reinforces the notion that high school baseball is more than a game — it is a conduit for community pride.
