All‑Area Baseball Team Honors Local Stars
The Leaf‑Chronicle has released its All Area baseball team for the 2026 TSSAA season, spotlighting the region’s most dominant performers.
Senior outfielder Keaton Anderson of Clarksville High was named Player of the Year after posting a .500 batting average and leading Tennessee in stolen bases.
Fans can now vote for the top Clarksville area baseball player of the season, with the poll open until Friday, June 26 at 2 p.m.
The voting includes every member of the All Area first team, giving the community a direct role in selecting the season’s standout.
Among the nominees, Benton Barksdale from Clarksville hit .333 with 41 stolen bases, while Dylan Fulton of Montgomery Central posted a .406 average and a .725 slugging percentage.
Pitchers such as Jayden Gaylor from Rossview (2.39 ERA, 73 strikeouts) and Matthew Heimpel from Montgomery Central (0.83 ERA, 55 strikeouts) anchored their squads.
Other notable contributors include Ja’Marion Green of Northeast (.389, four homers), Lucas Lingg of Clarksville (.381, 36 RBIs), and Jackson Perry of Rossview (.429, six homers).
Karter Pledger was crowned District Offensive Player of the Year, Brayden Threatt of Stewart County hit .446 with 11 doubles, and Colton Wallace of Clarksville Academy batted .489 with 30 RBIs.
