Toledo's women's soccer program has released its 2026 slate, a 18‑match schedule that blends conference battles with a varied non‑conference slate. Head Coach Mark Batman, now in his fourth year at the helm, said the schedule reflects a deliberate effort to test the team early and build momentum heading into MAC play.
The campaign kicks off on Sunday, August 16, with an away test at Dayton, before the Rockets host Mercyhurst a week later for their home opener on August 23. That opening night will also serve as Senior Day, giving the program a chance to honor its graduating players.
New opponents and early road tests
Among the new opponents, Toledo will meet Mercyhurst and Georgia Southern for the first time in program history, while also traveling to UMass for the first time ever. Early non‑conference road trips include stops at Detroit Mercy, Oakland and Duquesne, setting a demanding opening stretch.
Conference play begins September 17 at Kent State, and the Rockets will host a series of home matchups that include a Homecoming weekend clash with Central Michigan on October 9, which also marks the start of Alumni Weekend. Additional home games against Akron, Ball State and Miami follow, while road trips take them to Western Michigan, Buffalo, Eastern Michigan and Ohio later in the season.
The Mid‑American Women's Soccer Championship will be held in November at Historic Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio, bringing the season to a crescendo. Admission to all matches at Paul Hotmer Field remains free, and TV and streaming details will be announced later.
