A New Era for Women’s Baseball
The Realest, a leading platform for sports memorabilia, has announced a partnership with the Women’s Pro Baseball League (WPBL) to launch the first officially licensed card and memorabilia program for an active U.S. professional women’s baseball league.
The collaboration will introduce a series of collectible cards that showcase historic photographs, dynamic action shots and pieces of team gear, while also auctioning game‑used items such as baseballs and jerseys.
In addition to the card line, The Realest will work alongside WPBL to co‑design the league’s inaugural logo and custom Opening Day patches that will debut on August 1, marking the first U.S. pro women’s baseball league since 1954.
WPBL Commissioner Justine Siegal said the program is about more than commerce; it is a chance to inspire the next generation of female athletes and give them a tangible connection to the sport’s growing legacy.
The partnership places WPBL alongside other women’s‑sports properties in The Realest’s portfolio, including the Professional Women’s Hockey League, the Unrivaled basketball circuit and the USWNT’s “85ers” alumni group.
Industry observers note that the deal reflects a broader surge of investment in women’s professional sports, as sponsors and media outlets seek to amplify visibility and revenue streams that have historically lagged behind their male counterparts.
With the August debut set to make headlines, the league hopes the new licensing model will generate excitement among collectors and fans while providing a financial boost to teams and players.
